Empty Storefronts
There’s so much construction going on in Playa del Carmen, especially on the north end where we started today’s walk. Just about all the new condo buildings on and around 5th Avenue have empty storefronts on the first floor. Right now, these areas are not getting a whole lot of foot traffic, so it’ll be interesting to see how these fill up.
They’re finally laying down the stones for the road to Mamita’s Beach. Should be done “mañana”.
They’re also working on Calle 26 to the beach, right by Pinche Gringo’s.
Casey, a snowbird from Alberta, Canada, was chillin’ at Pinche Gringo’s while his parents enjoyed breakfast.
This is such a strange building. On 1st Avenue at Constituyentes across from The Gym.
The Glass Bar’s new location on 12th Street between 1st & 5th Avenue. Coming July 2008.
We couldn’t resist stopping in at Java Joe’s for some coffee & breakfast
This is where the new Coco Bongo nightclub will be, at the corner of 12th Street & 10th Avenue.
We visited with our friend Claudia/claudiadeplaya. She recently adopted Sky and Mouse from the Peanut Pet Shelter. They are adorable!!!
